"Grandpa, Grandpa"

We heard this a lot this weekend!  Stephen and Georgie had a great time with their grandparents, who got to spend a long weekend with us.  We are so lucky that both of our parents live so close and get to spend so much time with Stephen and George.  The weekend was full of kids activities, including a puppet show, swimming, more swimming, and lots of yummy meals and "special treats." Here are some pictures of our fun!

Stealing Grandpa's glasses.

Bedtime Stories.

Swimming fun.

A little French baby.

Coloring with Grandma.

"Raffe" got hungry too.  Raffe likes French.

Splashing around.
What a fun weekend.  We cant wait to see Grandma and Grandpa soon!

A trip to the Park!

Today, we went to the Disney World of parks, Clemyjontri Park.  Clemyjontri is a great park for kids of all ages and is accessible for those with physical disabilities.  Having spent a lot of my career working with people who have physical disabilities, I enjoyed having my kiddos play in a place all kids can enjoy.  To Stephen's delight, there were lots of cars to play on including a school bus.  We met some friends and enjoyed one of the coolest days we have had in a long time and a picnic lunch!  What a fun day.

A great website for Moms.

I happened across this website and thought it was a great one for all the moms out there with little ones in Northern Virginia!  Check it out!

A bad bad blogger!

I have been the worst blogger ever! I have fallen so behind on my posts that now I don't know where to start and the task of catching up feels daunting, so I continue to put it off.  I really love keeping up with this blog and reading about all my friends' adventures.
Things have been slow around here lately...as we try to tackle potty training. Here is some of what our days have looked like lately:

Ok, I am not really the worst mother in the world.  After breakfast, I sat Georgie on the floor while I was cleaning up and Stephen grabbed the Cheerios and gave them to Georgie because he thought he was still hungry.  I thought it was great and pretty funny in light of the craziness of potty training so I had to snap a picture.  The funniest part of this picture to me is that Georgie is wearing big boy underwear, which he did during most of potty training at Stephen's insistence.  I got a pretty big kick out of this and thought it was even better with the Cheerios on the floor!  More to come...
